If someone were to ask me, "The election next week is terrifying me. What can I do?"
I only have one word to answer that question: plan.
It doesn't matter if it's making plans to stock up on food and stay inside incase a bunch of "J6 fires" significantly increase around the US or if you live in Canada like I do and decide to take some time off of social media / blogging / news consumption in general and either create electronic music or play video games. Have a freaking plan after casting your vote for what you're going to do to keep yourself physically AND mentally safe for the next two weeks to two years.
It doesn't have to be detailed. It doesn't have to be a complete plan. Just ensure you have a direction to take depending on the eventual outcome. It's going to be a rough road ahead either way and you'll thank yourself if you know what you can do, who you can talk to, and in extreme cases, where you can go if home is no longer home.
Be safe. Be well. And I wish any American reading this, who doesn't want another 4 years of complete utter chaos, a hopeful November.
