I saw some political signs saying everyone should vote against a "sales tax" in Oregon—something we famously don't have for most purchases.
Then I opened my ballot and read the proposition: A 3% tax hike on corporations with over $25M in annual sales so they pay a higher minimum tax. Looking at the current law and numbers, Nike might be paying Oregon $0-100k each year on $6B in profit.
(right wing farmers have these signs all over the state, even though none of them meet the minimum)
