How much more carbon is each Google search emitting now?

That's weighing on me lately: I've resolved to drop Google searches as much as I can.

I have mostly used DuckDuckGo over the past few years, and longtime readers may remember that I actually gave up search engines entirely for months (after a failed experiment using Kagi).

But with Google increasingly shoving AI down my throat on every search, now those results are worse than ever, both in terms of quality and environmental impact.
