    @Adam given that it runs OpenWRT out of the box (you might need to install your own to modify it, not sure yet), you might be able to install it... (this looks promising: https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/pihole-directly-on-routers-tomato-merlinwrt-dd-wrt-openwrt/1314 ) but haven't fully read or tried it myself (yet).

      PiHole directly on Routers (Tomato, MerlinWRT, DD-WRT, openWRT)
      Starting a feature request to spread PiHole to routers. Many users of powerful routers run modified firmware such as Tomato, MerlinWRT, DD-WRT or OpenWRT. Many of the supported routers have enough processing power available to run piHole and some testing has been done (see here Run PiHole directly on Asus-Merlin/DD-WRT Router - #5 by jonesaaronj).
