I scored an A1 for O-Level Chinese but struggle to speak a coherent sentence  - CNA

My only saving grace was my childhood immersion in Mandarin which resulted in a good accent so I can fool people.

However, I am perfectly fine in Penang Hokkien tho the elders say my Hokkien is not deep enough ☠️*
