Auschwitz Memorial20 October 1943 | Helena Płotnicka was registered as a prisoner of Auschwitz no. 65492. She was a contact between the camp resistance and the outside world and participated in action of illegal transfer of food to the camp. She was arrested on May 19, 1943. On October 20 she was transferred to the female camp in Birkenau where she perished on March 17, 1944.
