@TriptychTwinsRidesAgain We have to go to Inverness to see a private one now, insurance plan for 2 of us is about 55 a month, covers everything done except any lab costs for a crown, that is around 80 to 150 depending, apparently. So many can't afford to do this, and I had to have 3 fillings done, did not even know they were a problem, before would let me on the plan. So again, a lot of cost upfront, thank God my crowns were ok, as some of the prices have heard for them are outrageous. There are around 4000 people thrown off the list here when the dentist closed, both of them, because the one we were with would take anyone with a Highland postcode, which meant that people were willing to travel as could not access NHS where they were. I think that was overdoing it, because it just overloaded them with patients.
