If you don't think the government should provide men with girlfriends/wives (in reality it would be a smooth process of government intervention in pairbonding that takes place over time, that's just an oversimplification) then I don't think the government should intervene in your protection, so that I would be able to simply kill you and take your women for my wives. I see no argument that you can make to refute this. As society becomes increasingly civilized and we offload tasks that we previously had to do to ourselves onto society/the government, and thus increasing efficiency, I see no reason why pairbonding and mating should be excluded from the equation. To me you seem like a dumb reactionary no different from those opposing government healthcare or even policing, in which case I think I should be able to kill you without the government getting involved in the matter.
