@hdm I'm happy for the surge of interest in Mastodon and other #FreeSoftware that powers the #Fediverse because it might give people the chance to see how a *community* thinks about the obligations of #copyleft when it comes to a network-accesible program.

I wish that we left the days of calling copyleft licenses "viral", which is only a little less negative than "cancer", behind us.
