A "No to Execution Tuesdays" campaign has started spreading amongst political prisoners in Iran using strikes and hunger strikes.
After the large sit-in strike against State-murder sentences (https://todon.eu/@b9AcE/112864843661321505) in the infamous Evin Prison, Tehran, was punished through revocation of the right to communicate, the campaign started which moas most recently joined by several women political prisoners in Lakan Prison in Rasht, north coast of Iran, announced this past Thursday and then on this past Sunday eleven (so far) male political prisoners of the same prison announced they would join the weekly recurring campaign too.
They declared that they consider these sentences to be "State-murder" and that "this issue becomes more frightening when the government uses the death penalty as a tool to create terror in society".
These protests are both against the concept of State-murder in general and against the recent sentencings against Pakhshan Azizi and Sharifeh Mohammadi in particular.
