I've been "that guy".

The guy who put in the countless, long, exhausting, stressful hours of sweat and tears. The guy who did so much, for so many, without ever needing to be asked, or ever once making a big deal out of it. The guy who made sure everyone's wants and needs were generally taken care of and who held things together, whenever shit hit the fan, and someone needed to make everyone's world right again.

Only for some random to basically walk through the door and be like, "sup?" and somehow gain the credit and notoriety and even respect, for doing nothing, other than just walking through the door.

That is why I don't care whether the CEO of WordPress is losing his cool right now. I can truly understand what it is like to experience someone come in on your "coattails". WordPress Engine is an awful company, run by awful people, and should WordPress come to an abrupt end, I will truly understand and respect as to why.
