@TeaTootler Taxes are essentially just ransom at this point. The government isn't really providing anything so much as pointing a gun at your head and demanding money in exchange for it not going off.

"same as it ever was" some would say but at least in the past your taxes gave you safe neighborhoods and well maintained streets.
