@lamp Typically the motherboard will run at the default ram clock unless you enable XMP in the BIOS or UEFI.

Typically higher clocked RAM is designed to achieve a lower latency than the default.

I believe selecting the right XMP profile will run the RAM at its rated speed (I figure the manufacturer has rounded up 2933MT to 3000MT).
