@lina @MK2boogaloo Kinda, it's more that most of them are just autistic and partially retarded. The smuggest asshole in all of Gensokyo, Yukari, is in reality just a loner who has zero idea how to make friends so she made up this whole threatening personality to be able to socialize. She falls into a panic if someone actually suggests being nice to her.
Aya though, while probably also partially mental, acts this way fully intentionally and goes out of her way on a daily basis to fuck with others while doing it. The only time she'll slip her personality is when a higher ranked tengu (that isn't Hatate) is nearby, and that's only out of fear.
