Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 347 , Wednesday 09/10/2024
Woke up around 05:45 & got up just after 6 to go sort breakfast.
It’s a woeful, wet, Wednesday.
Sophie continues to be sick (vomiting) her sleeping blanket is stained with it & when I pulled their bed away from the wall there was evidence on the floor. Not that Mrs S noticed, or if she did took any action. The mogs are her babies, right up to the point when cleaning needs to be done or meds administered it seems.
The soiled covers are in the wash & the mess cleaned up.
We need to get her to the vet again.
Alice is playing up as well, she has not eaten for a couple of days now.
As with when my Mum & herself’s Dad were ill, it’s not coping with the illness that is the thing that drains my will & energy it’s fighting others involved & persuading them to help!
08:45 I’m hiding in the bedroom between cat care activities today, I haven’t even bothered to get changed out of my PJs.
SM will have to take a backseat today, I simply do not have any spoons to spare.
Spent the morning in bed, which is very unusual for me, but I just had no energy! I read some Hitch-hikers for a while & slept for a little.
Got up around 11am because I didn’t wanna spend the day in bed.
Sophie came to sit on the bed with me while I was getting changed & we had some snuggles which was lovely.
Sorted out some more chores & then played some Fallout 76.
Took Sophie to the vet this afteroon for blood tests & a check - the vet is happy that she hasn’t been poisoned or swallowed anything.
On the journey home I raised the point that I was doing all the form filling & vomit cleaning etc, Mrs S says shes “too busy earning us money” for such mundane things. Hey that puts me in my place!
Blood tests this afternoon came back all good so Sophie is back for an Ultra Sound tomorrow lunch time. If Alice hasn’t eaten by then then she is going too.
Cooked tea & cleaned up, because hey ‘house elf’.
Final Thoughts.
I’m slowly circling the drain here. There is too much to process & deal with & little help to be had seemingly.
Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! 🫂 🫶🐿️🖖
