There's no problem they solve that doesn't have a better already realized solution. They kill both the commercial opportunities that will sustain those solutions and increase the cost of subsidizing solutions. Their companies decide who has permission to work or play together. Everyone knows about them, and way too many people believe that they're somehow special or unique.
