Minors & TFS
Hello all, today the admin team comes with a somewhat major rule change.
As of now, we are no longer allowing minors (those under 18 years of age) to create accounts on TransFem.Social.
Recent events outside of TFS have caused us to question if we are safely (and legally) able to host minors; the answer was a resounding no. This is a decision that we have had to consider for some time now and although it’s not the answer we wanted, we believe it is the only way forward. We do not believe that any fedi software allows us the tools to nor do we have the staff required to protect minors and comply with legal regulations. All minors currently on TFS will be given 30 days to find new homes on fedi, and while we understand you will probably not want to, once you are of age will welcome you back here happily (we will not be deleting your accounts, only deactivating).
