In Musicbrainz, the general rule on Romanization, especially East Asian names, is to follow what the person prefers, or official websites. If there's no clear preference, Romanize as per the current legal system. And if there's no official Romanization, just follow the common choices. (Everything else goes in the "alternative name" section.)
I guess only Musicbrainz makes any sense. 😅😅
It would have been fine and understandable if these database sites will accept corrections instead of rejecting or reverting it (supposedly crowdsourced). It's understandable asking for "reputable sources" but we don't need a detective for simple corrections. 😅😅😅 That's like consulting an Attorney if we'll go to prison if we murder someone.
