I bought a kids' encyclopedia for my children because it's impossible for them to find reasonable explanations for a lot of fundamental topics on the internet. Wikipedia is way too verbose, and search engines only regurgitate sludge and SEO garbage.

It's incredible how the Internet started as a place where you could find *anything* and turned into this decomposing amorphous mass where you can find nothing at all.
