@mos_8502 For what it's worth, I was pretty much onboard after running "systemctl status" once, reading the manual, writing a unit file and then discovering timers. There wasn't really a period of hesitation when comparing it to the tons of shitty sysv boilerplate and manual pid tracking in files littering /var/run of the past.
It has issues, but my day to day is objectively made better by its presence, at least on distros that do the integration work.
