Looks like it might be intended for outdoor/weatherized use? I really hate crimping Ethernet cables (I had to make a cable yesterday) but these just look like they'd be super expensive compared to regular ends unless you had a super specific application .. plus they look wide enough you'd have trouble fitting multiple ones on a standard switch.
