@tyil about:config -> javascript.enabled=false is not something I would regard as something that costs time and effort, as it takes all of 10 seconds.

If you regard that as too much time and effort, you're in for a big shock when it comes to computing.


On free browsers like GNU icecat, not executing proprietary JavaScript is indeed the default.
