now that everyone has had to suffer the development of wayland we can see that it pretty much fails most of its job and ends up just handing out render contexts (it doesn't even properly handle events, it just shunts the job to evdev which has made it unportable to the BSDs)

which is why we can pretty much say we can just throw the entirety of red hat in the trash and just make it a vulkan surface distributor :comfyglare:
