Approximately six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust, which took place between 1941 and 1945 as part of Nazi Germany's genocidal campaign. In addition to the Jewish victims, around five million others were also targeted and murdered, including Romani people, disabled individuals, Polish and Soviet civilians, homosexuals, political dissidents, and others deemed "undesirable" by the Nazi regime.
