Nah, y'all are truly built differently. Something a Black queer activist once mentioned is that when white people are able to wield any sort of oppression, instead of fighting upwards, they'll beat people below as much as possible.
A great example of this is "Adding Insult to Injury: A Case Study of the Institutional Weaponization of White Queerness" by Raxtus Bracken in Surviving the Future.
Another is "The End of Gay History, or This Is Not the World We Asked For" by Yasmim Nair in the same book about how white queers continue to interrupt progress in hopes of cementing themselves in positions of power.
This situation is a microcosm of that and it's not the queer I identify with. In the words of the East Bay, y'all are DIFFERENT.
