South Africa is having European winter conditions in spring at the moment.
The situation is not helped by it being a 4 day weekend for many. 24 September is a public holiday.
Many people are stuck on the roads on the way to the coast. This is becoming a real emergency.
This is a photo taken on Van Reenens Pass about halfway between Johannesburg and Durban. We are not geared for this.
