      So … The Q&A by MM at the end of #WCUS was incredibly harsh and basically told us he’s banning WP Engine from sponsoring WordCamps because their new owners (Silver Lake) doesn’t give back enough for five to the future. Oh and everyone should end their contracts with wpe. There was a lot more but it was incredibly rough. I stayed to take notes and share. I’m not happy (read “Mika is pissed off”) he was punching down like that, and the lack of empathy, taking it out on the wrong people. You all know how shit the job market is. What the fuck are the people who work there supposed to do? If everyone leaves their hosting, you just destroyed people’s livelihood! I feel like a canary in the coal mine… #wcus2024 #wordpress
