Chicks are pretty damn vicious. A fried of mine had a rooster who got frost bite and lost a foot. They couldn't even put it with baby chicks because they'd bite at him and try to attack him constantly. So he became a house rooster kept in a cage indoors ... cawing ... constantly .. all the time .. like when you're just trying to have a coffee.
