Anyone here good at electronics?
Imagine you had to design a power supply with:
- 230V AC input
- 12V output within ATX tolerances (+/-5% voltage tolerance, plus extra requirements on timings, ripple, etc.)
- typical load of 15W but sometimes 150W (when disks spin up)
- battery backup using standard off-the-shelf batteries (eg. 12V AGM lead-acid)
- maximize efficiency (when on AC) and time on battery (when on battery)
how would you go about it?
