I'm horribly depressed about privacy.

James Jesus Angleton, the CIA's first counterintelligence officers, said

"If you want to hide a leaf ,there's no better place than the floor of a forest."

The USA has never done a proper job of securing its own data about me. The government leaks like a sieve. Private industry is even worse: remember Scott McNealy at Sun Micro saying "There is no privacy - get over it."

The only things which are highly classified are fuckups anyway.
