Sometime during that I realized that my body wasn't maintaining body temperature and I had to use the heat in my apartment to make sure that I could get up and digest food. Very early, within the first two weeks, I had a very painful, very cold, empty place in my lungs directly over my heart that ached constantly for 9 months.
