As I make it around hopping and on crutches this week, I'm reminded why I hate "disability simulation" so much. Pretty much every one of my friends who has permanent mobility impairments can get around better than I can -- because they have life experience doing so which I don't have.

Disability simulation gives a particularly bleak view of life with a disability (which contributes to why so many people think death is better than disability).
