Bob Tregilus :tux:📷:copyleft:Yesterday, I was out hunting petrogylphs along these basalt flows that border this ravine in the far NW corner of Washoe County, Nevada. I found a couple, but nothing spectacular. It was a beautiful day scrambling along the sides of this ravine! Unseen in the photo are numerous Antilocapra americana (pronghorns) on the distant pluvial lake playa. The yellow flowers in the ravine are Chrysothamnus humilis (rabbitbrush).
