I watch foreign-language content with foreign-language subtitles. An example is the below-mentioned Shogun. Japanese audio + English subtitles for me.

It is also interesting to compare dubbing "cultures." Over here in Czechia the most famous faces of cinema go with famous local voices and everybody knows that, e.g. Robert Redford is dubbed exclusively by this or that guy. Started with the icons of the French cinema after WW2.
