hermlon@kaia @mametsuko from what I've heard (and experienced myself last Friday and Sunday travelling to Vienna) Austria doesn't check in trains, but when entering Bavaria there is a check on the first stop in Germany (aka they walk through the train and pick one non German speaking person to ask for their passport)
