I can only focus on one thing at a time, so if I have anything else in my life over the next week (such as talking to humans, eating, sleeping, etc) I can't take on this big task and work it from start to finish all in one go

ADHD:
That's because if I take on this big task and I get interrupted (by things such as talking to humans, eating, sleeping, etc) I will have to break concentration and be distracted, I won't be able to finish the thing immediately, which means it may never get finished

Autism: No interruptions
ADHD: Interruptions lead to failure

Autism and ADHD are really tangled together, aren't they!
