- Embed this notice@icedquinn IMO video-games are kinda bad for parties like those. I've grown up with mostly video-game focused parties (the golden age of home consoles) and they don't scale well for larger parties. They are much better enjoyed with just a friend or two than a full party.
Actual LAN parties in that scale would need a whole ass hall and tons of PCs. Waiting for a turn to play a video-game (and swapping after one or two rounds) takes the joy out of the thing much faster than for example waiting your turn to throw the horseshoe while chatting away/laughing at others.
Edit: Meant to add that social "games" like horseshoe, bowling and such have been much more enjoyable party experiences for me than just video-games.
