I know I've said this before as well, but in Canada (and many other countries), there are also PLR programs.

*MANY* years, I've made more money from the PLR payout than I have from sales.

Libraries often pay me *more* than publishers do.

All those points still stand, regardless—I'd happily see my book in every library shelf even if they didn't pay me directly, because they still do everything you've said—but they DO pay.
