@kaia It used to be, that direct banks offer free accounts in exchange for not having physical locations.
Meanwhile, Sparkasse is slowly closing physical locations, leaving old people with learning online banking, switching to a whole new bank, or in most cases being stuck with a longer drive or no access.
All while still charging them the same rate, since they could go to a different location. Gotta love cherry-picking.
