This thread escalated. I honestly believe we went and landed bit I do wonder if they didn't produce the footage as a way to hedge their bets in case something went wrong. Like ok we landed but on the way back they died. Still a win. It was the cold war and lots was at stake. I don't hate the US or White accomplishment. Although it's important to realize that we never would have made it without 3 black female mathematizers. 😅
