Oh man, Matyr Made has a very similar take to me on Germany's moral responsibilities in WW2. When you put people in a concentration camp in a war, you are responsible for them, so if they die, you are responsible for that, and the death of a citizen like that is more morally culpable than killing soldiers or even accidentally killing civilians - just like how shooting soldiers that have surrendered is seen as bad.
