Embed Notice

I live in a tall building and this sequence of events happens at least once a week:

• I press the elevator button to go up and wait
• Somebody approaches, sees that the elevator button is already pressed
• It takes a while, they now press the elevator down button
• Elevator arrives now going down, because down has priority.
• They get in and press a button for a higher level
• Door closes
• Elevator going down has no destination
• Door opens, elevator going up
• I get in, get a confused look
• We go up

Because of their impatience we now both had to wait longer to reach our destination.
