@LouisConde I didn't think Dean's gaff was not that horrible. It's that the media wouldn't drop it. Dean wasn't taken seriously by the media after that.

They did the same thing to Dukakis. Looking silly in a tank is a bridge too far.

But when the media loves you, you get infinite chances to cover up your mistakes.
