What is typically left out is how these right-wing men used the army to build their life up. In the US the military is effectively a welfare program for men and their wives who couldn't cut it in the free market. There are also life insurance checks that function as an incentive for women to shack up with warmachine. This passes to untrained eye as capitalism when in fact the opposite is true.
