To honour and support the brave actions of our students, some Faculty and Employees of Vancouver Island University have gathered into “VIU FACULTY AND EMPLOYEES FOR STUDENTS FOR PALESTINE”.

We have released a statement this morning concerning:

(1) VIU Senior Management Team’s attempt to restrict civil liberties at VIU;
(2) SMT’s decision to sacrifice Charter freedoms for property rights; and
(3) SMT’s reckless expenditures in reaction to the Encampment.
