>If you're doing drugs, why?
Depends on the drug. I really only do weed, aspirin, Zyrtec, or classical psychedelics.
Weed for pain
Zyrtec for allergies
Classical psychedelics are just kind of something I do on the weekend. DMT is meh and I don't really get much out of it. LSD is pretty alright but I have a ridiculously high natural tolerance to it. I've never done mescaline but I want to try it some day. Shrooms are my jam tho.
Aspirin for headaches and certain other pains or swelling
Yes I consider nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol drugs. I only ever do then socially about once every 2 months if that.
Also fun fact: Tylenol makes you engage in more risky behavior in a measurable way. Everything you put in you body affects your brain.
>Because you couldn't cope with your life otherwise?
Lmao no. If I don't want to do anything if I'm not in a good mood. Set and setting is the most important.
For me I like to just be in a quiet room alone with my thoughts. It lets you see issues about yourself that your head was too far up your own ass for you to notice and it. It also leaves me with a good message and something to work on to improve my life (especially shrooms). For example the one of the last revelations I had on shrooms was, "I need to trust God more than I trust myself." and yeah I know that sounds obvious but.. I don't really know how to put it into words. It just hits different and makes my yarn to be a better Christian.
Now DMT did take away pretty much all anxiety I had about dying, which I didn't realize I had any until it was gone, but I haven't gotten much out of it since then. It's also super different to the other psychedelics and kind of in a category of its own.
I see drugs as tools. There are people who benefit greatly from drugs like Methamphetamine and it greatly improves their lives. Granted they are a minority but the point is you can't just paint everything as black and white, good or bad.
I don't base my morality in any way on the decisions of the US government. If anything I'm more likely to believe the opposite of what they say.
Some people mushrooms greatly help while other people it can hinder.
Hell the entire AA 12 step process that has helped thousands and thousands of people was based on an LSD trip William Wilson had. AA wouldn't exist without LSD.
>Doesn't that signal to you that something is fundamentally wrong with how you perceive life? What you think and believe about it?
I've no clue what you're even trying to get at here
>No? Better take more drugs then. That will make it right.
You're missing the point entirely.
