Mars Rover Perseverance is getting ready for its next science campaign - the ascent up the western rim of Jezero Crater.

The map below shows the route over the next few months, with exploration stops at areas dubbed “Dox Castle,” “Pico Turquino” and “Witch Hazel Hill.” Each area contains interesting rocks that could contain signs of ancient microbial life.

Percy will climb up 300 m and encounter slopes of up to 23° on the journey to the area called “Aurora Park."
