In many ways, it was the most vile decade of the twentieth century and I stood witness as certain cultural memes propagated through the media back then ruined many young men and women back then permanently. I'm sure some ruined me too; I grew up on USA's "Up All Night" and I know for a fact "Vampire Vixens from Venus ruined me. Game over, I got the wrong message from the movie and I've been trying to get abducted by Venusians ever since.
The whole decade was arguably psychological warfare, and this during a time when essentially no one had any "Psy-Op" awareness except for maybe a couple people on the "Kooks of Usenet" list. The '90s were also extremely violent in certain parts of the country, like in California, and where I grew up. Even the parts of the '90s I subjectively liked were no fucking good. I still like grunge music to a degree, but I despise its cultural impact and certain vices that scene arguably promoted. I mean, just look at the major Seattle bands from then - they're all dead already, except for fuckin' Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam. I don't consider Foo Fighters a part of that pantheon either; fuck them. Hell, Goo Goo Dolls > Foo Fighters. I absolutely despise Nirvana now, won't listen to any of their shit, and I'm glad Courtney Love smoked that Kurt Cobain queer for his money. Even though she was a dirtbag too. Technically, I probably like the AZ bands from then the most, like Gin Blossoms and the Refreshments. I don't care. My favorite band is from the '80s, and thrash metal, I was just born too late to see 'em or be a true contemporary fan. I do have one of their shirts from back then, though, that I purchased a long time ago now. It's the best one, too, and I once wore it everywhere just hoping someone would try me over "dat's a swastikker on yer shirt." No one ever did, not even in the ghetto. I don't wear it now, though, because it's a collector's item. I also need to be buried in it, standing, like some of my pagan ancestors.
Anyway, I'm not literally stuck in the '90s, it's just something retards say. I walked away from the TV completely in 1998, and didn't turn it on again until 2006 I think. I barely had time to even watch anything, and pretty much just watched McLaughlin Group and Tucker's MSNBC show back then. If I were choosing a decade to be stuck in, it'd be the '00s or 2000s. Those were the best years of my life. The '90s were like pure Nietzschean struggle for me, and I was surrounded by retardants or retarding influences and actual retards too. I could have been a retard forever, and I still do a few things in a completely retarded way as vestiges from my childhood. They're always a big shock to the wahmen who think I'm the world's biggest genius or about to take over the world or some insane shit. But I had to teach myself those things, and at a young age, so that's how it goes.
