@mattwilcox Yes, many of us Americans realize how insane this is and do our best to fight it the only way we can, at the ballot box. Unfortunately, “only rich white guys” was encoded into the original constitution and has required fighting for every inch towards equity ever since.

Newer democracies have the benefit of learning from the original decision from the 18th century.
