Auschwitz Memorial10 August 1889 | Polish woman Zofia Kossak-Szczucka was born. A writer, co-founder of Żegota Council;
Arrested on 27 Sep 1943. Imprisoned in #Auschwitz 9 days later (64491). In May 1944 she was sentenced to death in Warsaw. Released thanks to Polish underground.
She died in 1968.
